Louis Nichole Bears
To quote from Page 36 of the 1986 House of Nisbet catalogue :
"House of Nisbet salutes The House of Louis Nichole with six bears who pay tribute to the earlier elegance, opulence and grandeur captured in the superb lace designs and fantasy moods created by Louis Nichole, many of which first appeared in The White House during the term of President Carter.
Honiton and Nottingham are sisters, and Tiverton is their cousin. They are named after the three lacemaking towns in England.
The large bears are 14" and fully jointed. Measured by dress length, Honiton and Tiverton are 33", whilst Nottingham is 26".
The baby models are 10" bears jointed only at the neck.
We acknowledge the kind permission of Louis Nichole to make these bears during 1986 for worldwide distribution."
