Rag Dolls
Peggy Nisbet made a number of rag toys, but sadly, these dolls tended to be loved to death by their young owners, or ended up as dog toys. as a result, few are still here today, but we have been able to round up these rare survivors for you -
Pogles' Wood
Pogles' Wood was an animated children's television series, produced by Smallfilms, (who also brough us "The Saga of Noggin the Nog", "Ivor the Engine", and "Bagpuss", amongst others).
Pogles' Wood characters were first produced by Peggy Nisbet in 1971, and included Pippin, Tog, and The Pogles - Only Tog, the cloth squirrel, and Edna Pogle are included in this slideshow
In the 1972 Trade Price List, Mrs Edna Pogle was £0.40p, and Tog was £0.27p - We think this would have equated to a purchase price at that time of £0.80p and £0.54p
