5504 - Clown Bear was the creation of April Whitcombe, (who also created both versions of the Bellhop Bear)
First issued in 1987 as a Worldwide Limited Edition of 5000, this 11½" bear was initially priced at £29.95.
He does not appear in catalogues after 1989, when we must assume that his edition had sold out, or that he had been discontinued
