5505 - Eric-John Bear
© Carol-Lynn Rössel Waugh, 1988
5505 - Eric-Jon Bear was the creation of Carol-Lynn Rössel Waugh, an artist, writer and bear fancier, who also created Yetta Bear. (Eric-John Bear is named after Carol-Lynn's son, and is dressed in an outfit matching one he has. Eric-John bear is brother to Yetta)
First issued in 1988 as a Worldwide Limited Edition of 5000, this 11½" bear was initially priced at £24.95.
He was re-numbered as 85-5050 when Dakin took over the Nisbet business. He does not appear in catalogues after 1990, when we must assume that his edition had sold out
(U.K. Residents may be more familiar with the term "Catapult" than the American name, "Slingshot", for this boyhood artillery piece!)
