King Ralph
King Ralph was a 1991 comedy film starring John Goodman, Peter O'Toole, and John Hurt. The IMDb website summarises the film's story thus :
"As the only relative to take over the Royal throne, a down on his luck American slob must learn the ways of the English."
How did this doll come into being? We were told was that the House of Nisbet was approached by someone at Pinewood Studios in 1990, and asked to make a commemorative doll of King Ralph. The doll was to be modelled on the principal actor, John Goodman, and only twelve were made, to be given to the cast of the film. We just have this one design sample to show you, (and we think he's rather splendid - don't you!)
