Queen Elizabeth I
Queen Elizabeth I was the inaugural model of the newly introduced "Tower Treasures" range of dolls, which came onto the market in May 1976. She was the first in a series of three dolls, entitled "Three Famous British Queens". Priced at £29.00, (including VAT at 8%), ($78.50) these were expensive dolls, and were aimed at the most dedicated and affluent of collectors. These dolls are rightly considered by many collectors to be the finest creations ever produced by Peggy Nisbet.
